Telstra, Optus and Vodafone plans all divert unanswered calls with the same three standard codes. The cheaper brands are where it gets uneven: one can't divert to another number at all, some charge by the minute, and a couple don't say either way. This is what each brand's own help pages say, as of October 2026.
It is written for BizEdge Missed-Call Text-Back, where the calls you miss go to your BizEdge number and the caller gets a text from you within seconds. The steps themselves are in the full set-up guide.

The three codes
Where a brand can divert, it takes the same three standard codes as the big three:
- When you don't pick up (this is the one that matters):
**61*<your BizEdge number>**10# - When your phone is off or out of range:
**62*<your BizEdge number># - When you're already on a call:
**67*<your BizEdge number>#
The order is the same everywhere: voicemail off first, then the three codes, then a test call. Voicemail is itself a divert, so changing it afterwards can switch your divert off. Ring your own mobile from another phone, let it ring out, and the other phone should get your text. *#61# checks the divert, and ##002# switches every divert off at once.
Can't divert to another number
- Vodafone prepaid. Vodafone's call forwarding page says prepaid services can forward to voicemail or Call Catcher, not to other numbers. So Vodafone prepaid can't divert calls to another number, and BizEdge can't catch your missed calls while you're on it. A Vodafone plan can.
- Lebara runs on Vodafone's network and is prepaid. Its voicemail help only covers diverting to voicemail and Call Catcher, and Vodafone prepaid can only divert to voicemail. No Lebara page says it outright, so treat it as "may not support diverting to another number" and contact us before you set anything up.
Works, but charges per minute
- Optus prepaid: 10c a minute for each diverted call (Optus). Switch voicemail off in the My Optus app. The Optus guide has the rest.
- amaysim (Optus network): 32c a minute for each diverted call, a 20c call forward surcharge plus 12c (amaysim). amaysim documents ring times from 5 to 30 seconds, so the 10 in the first code is a standard setting. Don't use the "Forward calls to" box in the amaysim app: that forwards every call, so your phone would never ring. Key the codes in instead. amaysim doesn't publish a code to switch voicemail off; ask amaysim Live Chat. Circles.Life customers have been moved to amaysim, so the same applies.
- ALDI Mobile (Telstra network): 32c a minute for each diverted call, paid from pay-as-you-go credit, and it is not part of any pack (ALDI Mobile). With no pay-as-you-go credit, the divert may not work. ALDI's own divert page shows
**61*101*10#: there the 101 is voicemail and the trailing 10 is not seconds, so don't copy it. ALDI doesn't publish a way to switch voicemail off, and its support team can't set up diverts for you. - Kogan Mobile (Vodafone network) needs the paid Premier Access Bolt-On before it forwards calls to another number. Add it first, or the divert may not work. Kogan documents ring times of 5 to 25 seconds, so 10 is a standard setting. Voicemail off: dial
1210(that turns Call Catcher on), then1215or121600to turn Call Catcher off, before the codes.
Works with the standard codes
- Boost (Telstra network). Boost says call forwarding is built into every unlimited call plan. Boost documents ring times of 15 to 30 seconds. 10 seconds worked in our own test calls on a Telstra mobile (twelve calls: 5 and 10 seconds beat voicemail, 15 and up lost), but we have not tested Boost itself, so do the test call. Boost doesn't publish a way to switch voicemail off.
- Belong (Telstra network). Belong's terms allow forwarding to a standard Australian mobile or landline. It doesn't publish its own codes, so these are Telstra's. One trap: switching between voicemail and Message2Txt in My Account resets call forwarding and can take up to 4 hours. Change it first, wait for Belong's text, then key in the codes.
- Everyday Mobile from Woolworths (Telstra network). Its device guide says the ring time must be a multiple of 5 seconds, so 10 fits. We couldn't find an official page on cost or on switching voicemail off, so do the test call.
Not documented: test first
- felix (Vodafone network) only documents a divert for every call (
**21*), not one for missed calls. Never use that one for BizEdge: your phone would never ring. The three standard codes may work; felix hasn't said. Voicemail off: dial1210(that turns Call Catcher on), then121600to turn Call Catcher off. Then key in the codes and do a test call, and we'll help you check it. - Lycamobile (Vodafone network) publishes no divert codes, and its terms may not allow forwarding calls to a service like ours. Check with Lycamobile first, or contact us. Voicemail off is
*185#.

Most brands run on Telstra, Optus or Vodafone and take the same codes. Do the test call; if it doesn't work, email hello@bizedge.com.au and we'll find the right codes. Billing never starts until a real missed call has been texted back, so if your service can't divert, you pay nothing.
On one of the big three instead? See the Telstra guide, the Optus guide or the Vodafone guide.
